UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: MAN TO BE EXECUTED FOR KILLING PREGNANT WIFE

an Abu Dhabi appeals court in the United Arab Emirates sentenced an unidentified man to death for murdering his wife because she got pregnant. He did not want her to get pregnant so his first wife would not know he had married again.
“The appeals court upheld an earlier death verdict after the victim’s relatives refused to accept diya (blood money) and pardon him,” Alittihad daily said.
