United States Human Rights and Democracy report...

United States Human Rights and Democracy report for the past year stated that the Nigerian government's human rights record had remained poor while the government had continued to commit serious abuses. The 2003-2004 report also noted that security forces committed numerous, serious abuses including extrajudicial killings and that the judicial system often was incapable of providing criminal suspects with speedy and fair trials.
