A Mobile County jury recommended the death penalty in the trial of Dennis Hicks. Hicks, 57, White, was convicted last week of the September 2011 murder of Joshua Duncan, 23, a mentally challenged man. Hicks previously served a 25-year sentence for a 1979 double-homicide in Wayne County, Mississippi.
