Brandon Sykes sentenced to death.
Lamar County Circuit Court Judge Samuel Junkin sentenced Brandon Dewayne Sykes to death on Tuesday for the murder of Keisha Lee Sykes, based on a Lamar County jury’s previous verdict (see February 24, 2022) to impose the death penalty in this case. Keisha Sykes disappeared in February 2015 from her home. Days later, her car was found abandoned and burned in Mississippi, but her body still hasn’t been recovered.
