USA - Alabama. Gov. Bob Riley signed into law this morning a bill which will allow more people to witness an execution

Gov. Bob Riley signed into law this morning a bill which will allow the 6 members of a murder victim's family to witness the scheduled execution tonight of a man convicted of killing her. The 5 sons and 1 daughter of Ella Foy Riley (no relation to the governor) have planned on witnessing the execution by lethal injection of Willie McNair if the governor signed the witness bill into law. Previously, under state law, 2 members of a crime victim's immediate family could witness the perpetrator's execution. The same limit applied to the condemned prisoner's immediate family.
