A Riverside County jury has recommended death for Jesse Perez Torres in the July 20, 2010 kidnapping and murder of Norma Lopez, 17. Torres, 42, Hispanic, lived next door to Valley View High School, where Lopez had a morning biology class for the summer. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
