A Los Angeles County jury recommended Manling Williams, 31, Asiatic, be sentenced to death. Williams, a Chinese immigrant, was convicted last year of hacking her husband, Neal, to death with a samurai sword and then smothering their two young children, 7-year-old Devon and 3-year-old Ian, in their home on Aug. 7, 2007. Judge Robert Martinez will make a final sentencing judgment on Sept. 23.
