An Orange County jury recommended the death penalty for Anthony Wade, 29, Black. On Sept. 6, 2013 he was found guilty by an Orange County jury in the Jan. 10, 2010 rape, torture and murder of Bessie Whyman, 84, White, after breaking into her home. Superior Court Judge James Stotler set sentencing for Nov. 12.
