Alameda County Superior Court judge Jeffrey Horner sentenced Anthony McKnight to death for killing and raping 5 women in 1985. Horner followed an October 20 (see) jury recommendation and sent McKnight, 54, black, to San Quentin's death row. McKnight was found guilty of raping and killing Beverly Bryant, 24; Diane Stone, 17; Talita Dixon, 13; Monique Davis, 18; and Betty Lynn Stuart, 22.
