Timothy Joseph McGhee has received a death sentence for murdering gang rivals and trying to kill police officers during an ambush. Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry agreed with the Aug. 27, 2008 (see) recommendation of the jury that 35-year-old McGhee should be put to death. McGhee was convicted in October 2007 of killing 2 gang rivals and a woman. The victims were: Ronnie Martin, 25, killed 10/14/1997; Ryan Gonzales, 17, killed 6/3/2000; Marjorie Mendoza, 25, shot to death in a car 11/9/2001.
