Joshua Komisarjevsky resentenced to six consecutive life sentences without parole, as Connecticut begins to dismantle death row. He is the 3rd of the 11 death row inmates to be resentenced to life since the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled last year that their death sentences violated the state constitution's prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. Komisarjevsky, 35, White, and Steven Hayes, were sentenced to death in 2011 for the 2007 killings of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela. Hayes was resentenced to life in prison last month. Sentencing was by Superior Court Judge Jon C. Blue.
