Waterbury Superior Court Judge Roland D. Fasano resentenced Sedrick Cobb to two life terms without the possibility of release as Connecticut continues to dismantle its death row. Cobb, 54, Black, described as a serial rapist, had been sentenced to death on August 13, 1991 for kidnapping, raping and killing 22-year-old Julia Ashe on Dec. 16, 1989.
