USA - Florida. A jury recommended 3rd death sentence for Dontae Morris

A Hillsborough County jury recommended 3rd death sentence for Dontae Morris, 30, Black. The jury voted 10-2 for death after convicting Morris of murdering Derek Anderson, 20, on May 18, 2010. Morris is already serving a life sentence for the May 31, 2010, murder of Rodney Jones. He is also serving two death sentences (see May 30, 2014) for killing police officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab during a traffic stop on June 29, 2010. He is awaiting his last murder trial for the June 8, 2010 death of Harold Wright. Circuit Judge William Fuente did not schedule the confirmation hearing, but set a status hearing for Sept. 4.
