A jury recommended that David Myers, 68, white, be put to death for the June 27 and 28, 2009 murders of his ex-girlfriend Maureen Modlin and her new boyfriend Michael Bistranin. The jury voted 7-5 for the death sentence for Modlin's murder, and 9-3 for death in Bistranin's murder. Circuit Judge Charles Roberts will hold the sentencing hearing later this year.
