Polk County jury unanimously recommended death for Leon Davis, 33. Davis robbed Yvonne Bustamante and co-worker Juanita Luciano at Headley Nationwide Insurance in December 2007. He bound them with duct tape, forced them into a bathroom, poured gasoline on them and set the 2 women on fire. Both women died from their injuries. Luciano's unborn son was delivered prematurely, but only lived for 3 days. The jury voted unanimously for death in the killings of Bustamante and Luciano, and 8 to 4 that Davis should die for the death of victim Juanita (Jane) Luciano's newborn son, who was born prematurely the night of the attack. The jury made its recommendations to Circuit Judge Michael Hunter. He will have the final say on sentencing. His decision is excpected in several weeks.
