USA - Florida. The Florida Supreme Court, citing Hurst, vacatied the death sentences of Lamar Brooks

The Florida Supreme Court issued an order, citing Hurst, vacating the death sentences and remanding to the circuit court for a new penalty phase to Lamar Brooks. Brooks, 44, Black, was sentenced on Feb. 25, 2002 (see) for the April, 24, 1996 murders of Rachel Carlson and her three-month-old daughter, Alexis Stuart.
