Russell County Circuit Court Judge George Greene upheld the March 11 jury’s 10-2 recommendation, and sentenced David Wiggins to death. Wiggins, 36, had told the court that he was high on crack cocaine and alcohol when he robbed and killed Kyle Cavins, 58, in October 2005.
