USA - Mississippi. A jury sentenced Justin Blakeney to death

A Jones County jury unanimously sentenced Justin Blakeney, 30, White, to death for the August 2010 death of Victoria Viner, 2, his girlfriend’s daughter. Judge Billy Joe Landrum affirmed the sentence and set an execution date for November 19, 2014.
In 2011, the child's mother, Lidia Viner, pleaded guilty to felony child abuse. She was given a five-year suspended sentence.
