The Senate has voted 14-10 in favor of SB593, a bill to repeal the state's death penalty. The bill now advances to the state House of Representatives, where repeal measures passed in 2014 and 2016. Governor Chris Sununu has said he will veto any death penalty repeal. The bill passed the Judiciary Committee on a vote of 3-1 on March 12, 2018.
