USA - Oklahoma. House Committee advanced bill to use nitrogen for executions
The House Judiciary Committee voted 7-2 to advance HB 1879 that would allow the state to utilize nitrogen hypoxia as an alternative method for executing death row prisoners. Rep. Mike Christian (R)is the House author of the proposal. A similar proposal is pending in the Senate.
