Comanche County District Court Judge Mark Smith sentenced Mica Martinez, 33, White, to death. On June 18 (see) a jury had found him guilty of 2 counts of 1st-degree murder and 1 count of assault with a deadly weapon for the Oct. 12, 2009 killings of Carl (64) and Martha Faye Miller (55) at their home. Smith followed the jury's recommended sentences and signed the warrant sentencing Martinez to death for both murder counts and to 10 years for the assault charge.
