Jury recommends David Ware, White, sentenced to death
A Tulsa County jury has recommended David Ware has been sentenced to death for the June 29, 2020 murder of Tulsa Police Sgt. Craig Johnson following a traffic stop.
The jury already recommended a life sentence for Ware for shooting with intent to kill in the wounding of Officer Aurash Zarkeshan during the stop.
Judge William LaFortune will hand down final sentences during Ware’s formal sentencing on May 13.
