A Fayette County jury sentenced Patrick Haney Jr., 29, White, to death. One day earlier, the same jury found the man guilty of first-degree murder in the September 2011 death of 4-year-old Trenton St. Clair, his girlfriend's 4-year-old son. The boy's mother, 30-year-old Heather Forsythe, pleaded guilty to endangering the boy and agreed to testify against Haney in exchange for a sentence of 2 1/2 to 5 years in prison.
