USA - South Carolina. Circuit Judge Diane Goodstein handed down the death sentence to Kenneth Justus

Circuit Judge Diane Goodstein handed down the death sentence to Kenneth Justus in a Dorchester County courtroom today. Justus, 41, white,  pleaded guilty earlier this month, admitting he killed 22-year-old Justin Brezenger at Lieber Correctional Facility by stabbing him 11 times back in July of 2005.  At the time Justus was serving two life sentences for the armed robbery and shotgun-killing of 2. Justus declined to put up a defense to the stabbing and has sought the death penalty for more than a year.
