USA - Texas. A jury sentenced Brandon McCall to death

A Collin County jury sentenced Brandon McCall to death. The same jury last week convicted McCall, 28, Black, of capital murder for killing police officer David Sherrard Sherrard, 37, White, after the officer responded to a shooting call at the apartment where McCall was staying in February 2018. McCall also killed his roommate, Rene Gamez, with a shotgun blast. Judge John Roach Jr. formally sentenced the man to death. This is Collin County’s 1st death penalty case since 2009.
