A Smith County jury sentenced Dameon Jamarc Mosley, 28, Black, to death. Mosley, who was found guilty of capital murder last week in the Jan. 28, 2017 shooting death of Billy Stacks, 62, a gas station clerk, when the convenience store was robbed. Mosley pleaded not guilty Nov. 7. After hearing from the jury, 114th District Court Judge Christi Kennedy issued the sentence.
