Michael Rosales, 35, latino, was executed. He confessed to the June 1997 slaying of 67-year-old Mary Felder, during a burglary in the same apartment complex where Rosales was staying. Rosales becomes the 13th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Texas and the 436th overall since the state resumed capital punishment on Dec. 7, 1982. Rosales becomes the 21st condemned inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1157th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
