A Bexar County jury sentenced Otis McKane to death. It is the 1st death penalty issued in Bexar County in 5 years. On July 26, the jury found McKane (31, Black) guilty of capital murder for the November 20, 2016 killing of Det. Benjamin Marconi (50, White) in his patrol car in front of Public Safety Headquarters.
