The Senate passed 17-12 Senate File 13. The bill, sponsored by the Joint Judiciary Interim Committee, is moving on to the House. The bill would put into state statue a secondary form of execution, the firing squad. Currently the state statute has the gas chamber as the 2nd option, but that poses a problem because Wyoming doesn't have a gas chamber. There hasn't been an execution in Wyoming since 1992.
