UZBEKISTAN. ITALIAN OFFICIAL PRAISES PLANS TO ABOLISH DEATH PENALTY

Antonio Loke, Secretary General of the Institute of Asia and the Mediterranean Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy and Secretary of the Association of Friendship and Cooperation "Italy-Uzbekistan", praised the decision of the Uzbek leadership to abolish the death penalty from 1 January 2008.
