Wu Hongke, convicted of robbery and murder, was sentenced to death at the first trial and deprived of political rights for life by the Quanzhou Intermediate People's Court in south China's Fujian Province

Wu Hongke, convicted of robbery and murder, was sentenced to death at the first trial and deprived of political rights for life by the Quanzhou Intermediate People's Court in south China's Fujian Province. According to the court's ruling, on August 9, 1999, Hongke broke into the apartment of Wu Shijie, vice-president of the Fujian Hengan Group, with the intention of robbing his home. Upon being identified by Xie Xiuqian, Wu Shijie's wife, he killed her and her two daughters, along with Wu Shijie, who happened to return home at that moment.
