YEMEN. A YEMENI NATIONAL AND TWO PAKISTANIS SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

the state security court in Sanaa, Yemen, sentenced two Pakistanis and a Yemeni to death after convicting them of drug trafficking. The court, chaired by judge Najib al-Qaderi, reportedly sentenced Pakistanis Abdul Rahman Fadhl Taous and Birkhan Afridi, and Yemeni Saleh Saeed al-Hutam, to be beheaded by sword.
The defendants in custody had been detained in Sanaa one and a half years previously.
