YEMEN: PROTESTS OVER DEATH SENTENCE AGAINST OPPOSITIONISTS

hundreds of citizens protested in front of the Yemeni parliament, condemning death sentences against opposition leaders in the Haja governorate. Khalid Nahshal, Mabkhoot Nahshal and Abdu Nahshal, who worked as representatives of the opposition candidate in 2006 were sentenced to death in June 2008 on charges of killing an officer and a soldier in crossfire during the presidential elections.
