In Zimbabwe, High Court Judge Lawrence Kamocha has sentenced to death twice an Mberengwa man who killed his father and half-brother.
The judge found Kudakwashe Mtetwa (28) of Village Chikwangwadza guilty of murder with actual intent on both cases.
The court heard that a misunderstanding arose between the accused and his step-sister Charity after the latter refused an instruction from him. He started beating her. When his father intervened, Mtetwa stabbed him with a kitchen knife eight times on the chest and armpit.
When his half-brother tried to refrain him Mtetwa cut open his stomach. The two died on the spot. The Supreme Court will now assess the judgements.
