ZIMBABWE: ZANU PF ACTIVIST TO HANG FOR KILLING MDC RIVAL

Bulawayo High Court judge Lawrence Kamocha, on circuit in Hwange, Zimbabwe, sentenced Zanu PF supporter Norman Sibanda, of Tohwe Village in Nkayi, to death. He allegedly struck MDC supporter Zenzo Maphosa, 44, with a log and fractured his skull on June 7, 2003. Maphosa died 29 days later. The judge said it was an "an unprovoked, politically-motivated attack."
