18 convicted criminals were put to death in a mass-execution in Beijing, ten of whom were shot inside 15 minutes.
The Beijing Evening News reported that the ten were led to the execution ground at 9.00 a.m. and by 9.15 not one of them was left alive.
The ten formed part of a gang specialising in armed robberies and homicides. Another eight convicts found guilty of similar crimes, aged between 22 and 23, were put to death soon after.
