22 people were executed in Beijing after the Supreme People's Court upheld their sentences for murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and rape. The Beijing Number Two Intermediate People's Court carried out the order of the Higher People's Court to execute Zhang Hailong, and Feng Weigeng for kidnapping Zhang's nine-year old relative and asking for a ransom of 200,000 yuan.
