James Glenn Robedeaux, 51, black, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of murdering Nancy Rose Lee McKiney, a 37 year old, white woman, on 22nd September 1985. He was the seventh person to be executed in the State during the year, the 26th since the State resumed executions in 1990. He was the 40th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 638 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
