7 SENTENCED TO DEATH IN NORTH CHINA

the Taiyuan Intermediate People's Court in China's north Shanxi province sentenced five people to death and two others to death with a two-year reprieve for drug trafficking in October 2010. Zhao Baoguo and Dong Zibao swallowed drug packets with the intention of transporting them. Guo Chengjun, Wang Luming and Fan Furong asked the two to swallow the drugs. Xue Yuping and Wang Jinming, received death sentences with two year reprieves for their drug-dealing roles.
