A 21-year-old Samoan man has been sentenced to death by the Supreme Court in Samoa for shooting dead a plantation worker earlier this year. Fa'amau Taufete'e of Satapuala shot dead Anisi Naiele, who was 33, at the government-owned Samoa Trust Estates Corporation at Mulifanua village. The death sentence comes just four days after the trial started. The capital sentence is usually commuted to a life term, eligible for parole after 10 years.
