a Bell County jury sentenced Richard Tabler, 28, to the death penalty for the shooting deaths of 2 men. The same jury had found Tabler guilty of capital murder on March 21 for killing Haitham Frank Zayed and Mohammed Amine Rahmouni on Nov. 28, 2004. During the punishment phase, the same jurors listened to evidence, including Tabler's confession, in the deaths of Tiffany Dotson and Amanda Benefield on the same day. During the sentencing phase, the prosecution also brought in evidence linking Tabler with the shooting deaths of Benefield and Dotson, including Tabler's confession of killing the 2 girls. 264th District Judge Martha Trudo read the jury's verdict.
