A convict soldier was hung to death at the Kot Lakhpat Jail, while the hanging of his accomplicewas deferred for a month

A convict soldier was hung to death at the Kot Lakhpat Jail, while the hanging of his accomplicewas deferred for a month. The deceased, Mohammad Aziz, with the assistance of his companion Mohammad Boota, had killed his unit fellow Khadim Hussain of Punjab Regiment some eight years previously. Both underwent court martial, and on October 12, 1993, were given death sentences by the Military Court. Another death row inmate, Ghulam Farid, convicted of double murder, was also hung to death at the Multan Central Jail. The deceased was charged with killing Nawaz and his four-year-old son Muzaffar by throwing a hand grenade into their house at Chak Mithan.
