Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmed gave the death sentence to Abid Manzoor for murdering Doctor Shamsuzaman. According to prosecution, the convict had shot dead Dr. Shamsuzaman as he came out of his Clinic in Shadman in October 1999. The father of the accused, Manzoor, had died while he was under treatment by Dr. Shamsuzaman. The accused thought that his father died due to the doctor's negligence.
