A court in Duanzhou District in China's Guangdong Province, recently sentenced Zuo Chengfa, 21, to death for drug trafficking, the Xinxi Shibao newspaper reported. "On 28 April 2002, Zuo transported 1.98 kg of heroin from Tengxian County in Guangxi to Guangzhou," the paper said. The same article reported that Li Qinli, a 21 year old woman, was also sentenced to death for transporting 1.01 kg of heroin from Yunnan to Guangzhou on 27 August 2002. Zhaoqing Court also sentenced Jiang Hualin, Ke Yutao, Ming Qiben, Wu Jiansong and Huang Zhiyou to death for transporting 16.09 kg of heroin.
