A Kuwaiti criminal court sentenced 'Akhtar', a Pakistani national, to death on charges of smuggling heroin into the country

A Kuwaiti criminal court sentenced 'Akhtar', a Pakistani national, to death on charges of smuggling heroin into the country. It was reported that after conducting a routine inspection of the man's luggage, a customs inspector found nothing. Yet, he grew suspicious especially on noticing how nervous the man was. After doing the necessary paper work, the inspector sent him to hospital to have his digestive system checked. Medical tests confirmed that he had swallowed capsules of heroin.
