A court in southwest China's Sichuan province sentenced five people to death for selling heroin, state media reported

A court in southwest China's Sichuan province sentenced five people to death for selling heroin, state media reported. The five were part of an 11-member gang which sold heroin from 1999 to 2002, with each member selling 800 grams to four kilograms of the drug, the People's Court Daily said. The Sichuan Higher People's Court also sentenced the other gang members to life in prison or fixed prison terms.
