a Covington County jury has unanimously recommended the death penalty for an inmate who escaped from the county jail. Bobby Phillips was convicted last week of killing Paul Lemaster in 2002. Phillips and Oscar Doster escaped from the Covington County Jail in November of that year. Lemaster was shot to death and his pick-up truck was stolen the next day. Doster has already been convicted and sentenced to die for his part in the crime. The final decision will be up to Judge Lex Short. Sentencing has been set for April 12th.
