A dawn-to-dusk token hunger strike demanding an end to selling acid in the open market was observed in Narayanganj by the Jona Kayek-O-Tarun Sangha, a social organisation against the misuse of acid. They also brought out a procession in the town and submitted a memorandum to the local DC demanding capital punishment for the acid sellers and throwers.
