A division bench of the Lahore High Court upheld the death sentences imposed on Fitrat Nabi Noor, alias Saqa Moser, and Humayun Raza, alias Humma, for murdering Mohammad Ilyas and his wife Abida Parveen on resistance during a dacoity attempt. According to the prosecution, deceased Mohammad Ilyas and his wife Abida Parveen were sleeping along with their children at their residence on April 27, 1998 when the accused Saqa Moser and Humma broke into their house and collected jewelry cash and other valuables. They were trying to escape when Mohammad Ilyas raised the alarm. The accused stabbed him and his wife Abida to death and escaped with the booty.
