a judge of the Valenzuela City Regional Trial Court (RTC), the Philippines, sentenced Dima Montanir and Ronald Norva to death and their co-accused to life imprisonment for the kidnapping of two money lenders, one of whom subsequently died while being kept at a safe house. <br>In a 25-page decision, Judge Maria Nena Santos, of Valenzuela City RTC Branch 171, meted death on the accused for kidnapping Rosalina Reyes and Rafael Mendoza in the early morning of February 17, 1998 in front of a fast food chain in Marulas, Valenzuela City. <br>Their co-accused, Eduardo Chua, was meted life imprisonment while a certain Josie Herrera was acquitted after the court found reasonable doubt in her participation in the crime.
